BWCA

This shot is a favourite of mine from my 2023 BWCA trip. We had paddled through Tin Can Mike on the way to Horse when a storm moved in. Heavy rains pelted us and lightning crept closer and closer. We high tailed it to a beach nearby and landed just as heavy hail began to beam us. Massive side gusts sent the icey pellets at ridiculous speeds and we hid behind trees. The lighting was now right overhead and there just was nowhere to go. And within minutes, it passed and gathered our gear and I got this great group photo.

The fact is, even in the worse weather, we were together and having fun. This week I'm up in BWCA with mostly the same group of guys. I know we are to expect heavy rains, ice, snow -- the lot of it this week. It should be great!
